Research

My research focuses on the influence of money on the family business and the business family and is published in international academic as well as practitioner-oriented journals. All publications can be read here.

EDUCATION

I educate students at the undergraduate, graduate, and executive levels on (strategic) finance and governance at Hasselt University, Belgium. I am also the founder and coordinator of executive courses for family wealth advisors.

ADVISING AND SPEAKING

I am a family business advisor, and a regular speaker and workshop facilitator on relevant family business & family office topics around the world, to various academic and practitioner audiences. Topics include: money in the business family, developing sustainable dividend policies, family offices as a vehicle for longterm impact creation, compensation dilemmas in family businesses, professionalizing the business family, navigating the complexities of finance in the family business, and the basics of finance.
