Helping enterprising families navigate ownership, wealth and succession, across generations.

Families who own a business together face questions no balance sheet can answer: where are we heading together, who decides, who owns, who takes over, and how do we stay a family along the way?

I guide enterprising families through these questions over time, across generations. My work builds on my research as a professor of family business and finance, which I translated for a broader audience in my book Money & Generations. I often work alongside a family's trusted advisors: private bankers, notaries, tax advisors, and family offices.

Two white books with gold and black text on the covers, titled 'Money & Generations' and 'Geld & Generaties', by Anneleen Michiels and Claudia Astrachan.

Money & Generations

This book (available in EN and NL) explores the psychology of money in enterprising families: the money scripts we inherit, dividends and compensation, financial education for the next generation, and the role of family offices. It translates research into practical strategies for harmony and long-term success across generations.
